Voice editing is more than just cutting out the bad bad takes and errors. Editing is removing the room noises,
mouth noises, gasps of air, plosives, sibilance and other distractions. Editing is also aligning timings, phrasing, and
creating a natural flow of words and breaths. Voice recording and editing is what I have done for the past 40 years.
I learned to edit with a razor blade on quarter inch tape. Through the years I have worked with many different formats of media including: quarter inch open reel, cassettes, micro and mini cassettes, DAT, optical disk. In the studio I have used many different microphones from Neuman, AKG, Shure, Sennheiser, Rhode, Heil and more. Working in location sound for interviews, film and video added expertise and equipment. |
